In this great short story by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery, a young lady (Ursula) is ordered by her father to place some distance between herself and her suitor for the summer, and she is sent to live with her aunt on the coast. Her Aunt Philippa is a "speaks-her-mind" type of old school aunt, and does her best to discourage Ursula from marrying just anybody. Aunt Philippa is a character and a story you will want to share with your friends- and we hope you do! NOTE: We have a second Lucy Maud Montgomery story called "Christmas at Red Butte" playing starting Wednesday at our new podcast 1001 GREATEST LOVE STORIES that you will also enjoy- in that story a young orphan girl living with her very poor aunt and two cousins in Saskatchawan sacrifices her only possession to make sure her cousins have a Christmas. Your link to subscribe (its free, like all podcast subscriptions) is below. These Canadian authored episodes a thanks to our Canadian reviewers.
