1:02.1	Mon is an organizer, writer, and illustrator from Bangalore, India, living and working in
1:06.5	Brooklyn, York.
1:07.6	She's a co-author of Eight to Abolition and was a founding coordinator of the
1:11.1	No New Jails Network, and she's also an organizer at Community Justice Exchange. Her work
1:16.0	focuses on building intergenerational cross-class and cross-movement solidarity for creative
1:20.8	strategy, direct action, and organizing against the carceral state and the empire that sustains
1:26.1	it. Many longtime death panel listeners may remember Mon from our episode from last year's
1:30.5	socialism conference on carewashing or from the episode a few years ago about feminist
1:34.7	jails.
