So the circumstances were that I had just given my life to Christ after having been a runaway,

drug abuser, sexually abused, in and out of mental institutions with a single mom and kind of a distant father.

Anne's life was a mess. She didn't know the first thing about how to be a good wife or mother.

My favorite parenting teen prayer comes out of Philippians 2 verse 13.

That verse says, it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

In other words, he's giving you, he's giving your teens, the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
