Welcome to Quarry. Hey, C only six and a half years that I have been hosting this show, six and a half, one

point five bachelor's degrees. I mean I have met real friends. I have met real

friends people I interviewed on the show and then whoops I was at dinner at

their house or those of you who support the show and then whoops I was at dinner at their house.

Or those of you who support the show on Patreon that I meet up with once a month, you know who you are,

that I've now known for years.

Like they've had grandchildren born, they've had come to see me do shows across the country.

That has been cool. All of that has been so incredibly cool.

2023 was no different.

On this first of our annual Best Of's episode, we are going to revisit some

chats that I loved this year, including one with Sabrina Wu, stand-up comic, star of the

groundbreaking film Joyride. I know Sabrina is awesome.

They also sit on the podcast that I inspired them as a comedian. I'll take it. I will take it.

Also Lamia H, author of the Brooklyn Public Library book prize

winning memoir, Hejab Butch Blues, it's an amazing book, also happened to be

edited by my wife Katie Nishimoto who has also been a guest on this very show.
