It's fucking December 28th, yeah I get it that that week that week

flew by it's I believe we're here already yeah here we are it's weird I'm wearing the same clothes as the last podcast.

Yeah. It is the end of the year edition, which means it's time to take a yearbook style look at the year in hockey and pop culture that was.

It is what we do on puck soup because if nothing else we are a healthy cocktail of nostalgia and snark that goes down easy, probably with a paper straw.

Let's start off with our favorite hockey thing of the year on the positive tip.

What was your favorite hockey thing this year, Ryan?

Um... hockey thing this year Ryan? I kind can't believe somebody finally did the lacrosse

goal and then did it again. Twice.

Yeah.

That's fucking really cool.

Like, you know, it's one of those things of as a college hockey fan, I've known about,

oh, I guess you can score a goal like that since 1998 when Mike Legge did it, but it was always

very strange to me, like, why doesn't anybody at least try it in the NHL. And I think there had been a few over the course of however many

years it's been, I can't do that math, 21 years. I think it's been weird that it has only happened a few times, but it's really weird that it actually didn't work until what like a month ago and then the guy was like fuck it. I'm going to try it again and it worked again
