It was a lot to get to in the world of sports.

It was a busy weekend, but I feel like we must give congratulations in order.

Many people this morning, but most notably congratulations to somebody who got rich over the weekend.

This is a story we've been monitoring, wondering when this is going to happen.

49ers. We were awaiting. When is this going to get done? As speculation was, are they, you know, on the same page?

But the details, at least, that are reported now, five years, $265 million, $181 million in guarantees.

And so away we go with what the contract actually means, as opposed to what the numbers are that are being reported.

Right.

So there's not a ton of details being reported yet.

However, it is an extension onto what he was going to make this year.

So the contract actually expires in 2030.

He would become a free agent in 2031.

So for all you San Francisco 49ers fans, you got your guy, Brock Purdy.

He's your quarterback for the foreseeable future.

And if you're not excited about that, well, you're stuck with him.

But he's played well.

He's done a good job in Kyle Shanahan's system, as had pretty much every quarterback that's played in Calh
