Summary
In this classic O.Henry short story, a second accountant in a small hardware store finds he has a talent for writing things that make people smile, He is soon selling his humorous writings to magazines, and one offers him a high paying job. But soon he begins running out of inspiration and finds himself chasing friends and family for funny quips-and things go downhill from there.
