Jay, lopsided. Super Bowl 60 last night, all Seattle. Was that good Seahawks or bad Patriots? It was good Seahawks and bad Patriots, really. I think the Seahawks really were dominant on defense, obviously, and they did it on all three levels of defense.

The front, the linebacking crew and a secondary, they all did their job, and they played hard, they played fast, they played physical, they outmaned the New England defense aligned.

They covered down the receivers.

New England's receivers really didn't have a speed to get open, and Drake May was rattled.

So that is a tough combination for New England Patriot offense. Not a lot of guys open. The receivers not getting open, and you can't protect the quarterback, and the quarterback's rattle. What makes that Seattle defense so special in your view? I think it's all three levels. Like I said, I think they have a great rotation on a defense line. They keep them fresh and they rush hard. They play hard. Their secondary is very fine-tuned. They cover people. They're very physical. They force teams to wait another second or two to get people open because they're physical at the point at the releases. And then they can tackle. They're all good tacklers.

They're very, very good and they're very well coached.

Coach McDonald's been one of the best secondary coaches and defensive coaches in football

for the last few years and he showed it again.

Jay, what's his scheme?

I know that he blitzes at a very low rate and they win with four at a really

dominant rate.

But like what are his staples when you see?

He basically has had the most success against the Shanahan offenses of any coordinator

over the last several years.

And teams have tried to emblem, you know, bring in and replicate what he's doing because

of it.

Yeah, well, he was aggressive last night early in the game. I mean, on the first three or four drives, he was coming after Greg May, hard. I mean, good rushes. They couldn't pick him up. But yeah, he just does a good job with the secondary. I mean, they do a good job of playing different type of coverage. They play very tight to the receivers, not a lot of wide open zone drops and all that stuff. These guys latch on the people and they have help over the top a lot of times. Sometimes they give you illusion of help. They're really coming down and playing a hook or they're robin or something like that. So he does a lot of different things with a secondary, a lot of movement. But they didn't really get challenged last night by New England.
