Hello my friends, this is Carrie Green and back with you for the morning mindset.

I'm grateful that you're here because when you get your mind aligned with the truth

of God's Word, which is our goal for the morning mindset, then you are advancing the kingdom

of God.

You are aligning yourself with God with His purposes, with His intention for your life and for

your world and you're advancing His purposes by doing so.

Let's dig into John chapter 13 verses 36 through 38.

Now to set the scene, Jesus is at His very last meal with His disciples where they've

just celebrated the Passover meal and Jesus has instituted a new sort of practice, which

we call the Lord's supper or communion, where He gave them the juice in their case, the

wine.

This represents my blood and my body.

Do these things.

Have this meal and remembrance of me.

And He just said He's about to go somewhere that His disciples cannot come.

And we're going to see here that that causes some confusion and out of that confusion

comes a very heartfelt and meaningful expression from Simon Peter.

As we're going to see Simon's intentions, though they were the best of intentions, actually

go wrong.

And I think we're going to have something here we can relate to.

Let's look at John 13 verses 36 through 38.
