We have a great show for the Houston Open this week.

McDonald. Joining us, the experts are here and they are ready to deliver winners in a non-Scottie

event. Patrick, I'll start with you. How surprised are you that Scotty is out? Was that something that

anybody saw coming or was that kind of a shock this morning? Well, I think if you see Meredith

Sheffler in the past few months, I think you could see it coming quite literally. But I think a lot

of people knew baby number two was due around this time. So I'm not

really shocked either. I was hearing some things about it. So wasn't smart enough to get my bets

in early enough. I'll tell you that much. Did nothing. Sat on my hands, but not too surprised

about it. Sobel, on our group show text thread this morning, you had mentioned that you

got your bets in early for this event and you got some really advantageous prices.

Kind of explain to everybody once again how smart it is to bet on Monday if you can.

It is smart. I wasn't being smart. I did not think of the Scotty Sheffler WD angle. I did know that Meredith was expecting soon, didn't put two and two together. I just happened to be sitting there on my phone yesterday. I saw some numbers I liked for some popular players that we'll get into in a little bit here on the show and decided let me pull the trigger before the numbers get any shorter. I don't think they're getting any longer. Well, it turns out they're going to get a lot shorter based on the fact that Scottie's not in the field and that really scrambled up the board a little bit. So I got a little lucky. It wasn't really smart. But it's quite frankly, it's always smart. If you like guys on a Monday afternoon and you're looking at them and you don't think the number's

getting any better, you might as well pull the trigger instead of waiting two days because

you might miss out. When I think of the Houston Open, I think this is a CNAJad special.
