We took a shot at Ohio State National Championship.

Congratulations to the Buckeye.

It's in the Buckeye fans out there.

You've won.

I guess there's some debate.

Was that your seventh national championship or your ninth national championship?

Nebraska's got that argument. Alabama's got that argument. A lot of these schools tend to count championships that don't actually get acknowledged. But regardless, you guys have won the college football playoff. You went through a juggernaut, very impressive run for Ryan Day following the loss to Michigan.

But man, that alumni field goal.

If Will Howard had simply done the play clock right and taken the game and done the play clock game right, they never would have had to kick that field goal.

They would have run the game out.

We had a 10,

we got lost by 10 seconds, basically.

They just had taken 10 more seconds on the first and second downs.

We would have been fine.

And the game would have fallen eight.

They were taken a knee and they would have won the game. And we would not have had that last second field goal, which ultimately cost us the night.

Plus one and a half units on the national championship.

That gets given back with Notre Dame plus eight and a half.

We took that free shot.
