Welcome to the Early Wedge Tuesday Best Bet Show.

0:12.8

I'm your host, E.C. Let's be honest here. If you had J.T. posting on any of your betting cards last week, first of all, let us know in the chat.

0:20.5

And second of all, how did you come up with that? Because literally, nobody had JT Postin. We didn't talk about him once and the guy goes on a wins tournament. Funny how that works. All right, let's bring in the stars of the show. We have quite the show here for the RBC Canadian Open. We have Cia. We have Sobel we have Patrick. And I I guess Patrick, how do you pick Jay, like, where does J.T. Poston come from?

0:42.6

Because he switched golf balls? I mean, give me something here.

0:45.9

Switch golf balls, new putter. Denny McCarthy put the spider in the bag.

0:49.9

And J.T. Post and size is like, huh, this looks pretty good. Put it in and wine.

0:59.1

I think it's just another, another instance of these guys just being one tweak away,

1:03.6

or at least believing their one tweak away and getting a lot of confidence.

1:07.0

But yeah, came out of nowhere, but that's the beauty of golf.

1:11.4

If all it took was changing putters, Brooks Kecku would be a four-time winner all right this. And hopefully he's going to be a one-time winner after this week. Spoiler way. Yeah, I saw your BETM GM article. I have an idea what's coming on later in the show. See, we sit there, we handicap this. We go through all this, you know, an hour worth of show. You got all these picks, and you're doing by the way way, phenomenal run you're on in matchups right now. What is it like 15 and 2 in your last 17 or even better than that? So congratulations. But, I mean, how does it feel to you when you do all this research and then JT. posted with no form and nothing wins a golf tournament? So first of all, you were right. It's 15, 2, and 1, but the one, the push you actually made 0.4 units on. So it's really like 16 out of 18. With that said, if you bet J.T. Poston, and like nobody did, so I'm not really criticizing anybody in particular, but hitting JT. Poston last week is like that guy or girl that hits like the 15 leg parlay for like $100,000. They put like $50 on it. And you just know that they've lost so much doing that, like, there's no way they're even ahead at that $100,000 hit that they got. You know what I'm saying? So there's no, you can't make sense of it. Given that given j t poston's form given jt poston's

2:18.7

course but yeah he's traditionally a good ball striker but but not in the sense that he would be

2:23.4

anywhere near the top of the leaderboard in 2026 at the memorial so it's some things aren't

2:29.3

explainable outside of the the notion that golf has a lot of variance And sometimes you never know who's going to get hot.

2:35.7

Sometimes you think, okay, a player's going to get hot for a weekend or for one or two rounds. In J.T. Poston's case, he does have the game. Like the foundational game is there for him, but he just got hot for four rounds. And he stayed hot. So we'll go ahead. JT. Posten was so far from the radar, at least for me, with zero top 10s, top 20s in 13 starts coming in. I didn't even have J.T. Posting through 70 holes of the golf tournament. I still thought it was going to be Gerard or Burns or Fleetwood. And I still wasn't looking at JT post the number. So I mean, sometimes you just chalk it up go, hey, great week JT, good dude. Glad he won for him, but like we just weren't going to get there. Patrick, I want to ask you in advance of next week's U.S. Open, Scotty Sheffler. Now, C and I love to play the without markets you and Sobel do not. How do you feel about Scotty? I know he's not playing this week. How do you feel

3:24.9

about him heading into next week at Chinooka? I think you guys let it fly in the gen pop market.

3:31.1

You know, bring on Scotty Schaeffler, take it to him, get a little extra bang for your buck

3:37.2

and longer numbers on the guys you want. But I think the U.S. Open is wide open.

3:43.4

I wouldn't be shocked if Scotty Sheffler wins, but it just feels like going into this major

3:48.5

championship, there are a number of skill sets that could thrive at Shinnock Hills. You don't

3:53.5

have to be overly long. We've heard Rory and Scottie talk about how the fairways at Shinnock are relatively

3:59.5

wide also.

4:00.6

And so I think it's going to be a thinking man's test, a precision test, play the angles
