My guest today is Bert Kreischer, who I became such a fan over the pandemic.

You know, I was a fan before for a variety of reasons, the podcast, you know, as happens,

the podcast with Tom becomes a doorway to then get into all the other stuff.

And also, it's a, for me, a delivery system where I could understand the human being, the

slightly different version of the person, you know, I'm a very different person.

Well, that's for sure, but there's no doubt about that.

But you and I have certain things in common.

And partially also like the arcs of these careers and the ways that we both have sort of deal

with anxiety as we try to do these things and stay true to like the reasons we started

doing them.

So if you don't know who Bert Kreischer is because I was thinking about it and I wasn't sure

how much crossover there is, but Bert is one of the biggest comedians in the world.

He's a great podcaster.

He's an incredibly authentic figure, but he also, you know, man, one of the things I love

is how even as you're talking about living a larger than life kind of existence, it

always comes back to your humanity.

It comes back to how you process anxiety, how you love your daughters and your wife, how

you want to be both good to them and then true to your wilder impulses.

And I find that shit amazing and fascinating how long you've been able to mine that material.

And I just watched a new special razzle dazzle and I just fucking left my ass off.
