Welcome to this special edition of the commentary daily podcast.

We had said we were not going to podcast today, but owing to the news on Wednesday about

the departure from the presidential race, the official departure from the presidential

race of Bernie Sanders, we could not resist coming to you from the depths of the second

day of Passover, which of course, if anyone thinks that I'm being sacrilegist or something

I am taking the Israeli rule, which is that you Israelis only celebrate the first day

of Passover since Passover ends with the statement that next year we should be in Jerusalem,

meaning that Jews should be restored to the Holy Land and of course that happened in

1948.

So the Israelis no longer, it required, it's necessary to have two satires, which is a complicated

reason why there are two satires.

And so the diaspora still has two satires, but so for our purposes, we had the second

satire.

So today shouldn't even be a holiday.

Anyway, that's how I'm explaining why we're having this special podcast that we weren't

going to have because we couldn't resist talking about this.
