0:00.0	During his first voyage to the New World in 1492, Christopher Columbus recorded strange
0:19.2	phenomenon on his logbook.
0:21.5	On September 13th, as he entered the waters surrounding the island group of the Bahamas,
0:26.9	he noticed that the needle of his compass no longer pointed to the North Star.
0:31.7	Two nights later, Columbus and his crew aboard the Santa Maria saw what they described
0:36.6	as fire falling from the sky.
0:39.4	It was the only sighting of anything besides endless water.
0:43.4	By October 10th, the crew's apprehension had increased to the point of near mutiny.
