Hey everybody, Rob Mauer here, and today we're talking about some news on Gigaburlin

0:11.2

and the Model Y timeline, Tesla Supercharger Factory in China, more info on Tesla in Israel,

0:17.0

and a couple of other notes.

0:18.4

Quick look at the stock, I didn't see a whole lot driving this today, but Tesla did

0:21.4

finish down at 2.1% to $854.69, that compared to the NASDAQ, which closed just slightly

0:28.3

down today, down 0.02%.

0:30.6

Alright, first up today, we have an update on the timeline for the Model Y out of Gigaburlin.

0:35.2

Tesla has updated their design studio in Germany for the Model Y, and it now reads, quote,

0:40.0

production is expected to start in mid 2021, end quote.

0:44.3

Some sources are reporting on this, saying that that mid edition adds more specificity

0:48.8

than was previously available.

0:50.7

I'm not able to confirm that, I don't know exactly what was listed here immediately

0:54.8

before this change, but I was able to find an archive version of the page from November

0:59.1

18th, from the way back machine, and at that point, it read, quote, the start of production

1:03.3

is planned for the beginning of 2021, end quote.

1:06.6

That's the most recent archive I can find, so I'm not sure if at some point that became

1:09.7

less specific, and just said 2021 in general, rather than the beginning, or what it now says,

1:15.4

of mid, which I do think is important context, because if Tesla had become less specific

1:20.0

and it was just general 2021, there wouldn't be a ton of incentive for them to make

1:24.8

that more specific, unless they had a higher degree of confidence in that timing, versus

1:28.8

if it goes from beginning to mid, that could just be something that's updated as time

1:32.4

goes by.
