So my dad comes back out.

He let me win and beat the teddy bear.

And that night, before going to bed, my dad said to me,

Benjamin, if you were to die tonight, do you know what would happen to me?

And again, I was about six years old, and I said, no, Daddy, I don't.

Great to have you here with us for I once was on Sports Spectrum.

It's part of a seven-week series that we are so happy to be in the middle of sharing with you. You just had a chance to listen to longtime NFL tight end Super Bowl champ, Ben Watson,

reminiscing on an experience long before he was in the National Football League when he was about six years old.

And, well, it was all about dad and a teddy bear.

And the conversation that I had shared with him that all stemmed from that moment, gosh, it was

full of humor and conviction and encouragement. It is all there. And I'm grateful to share this conversation with you.

Let's just start with that teddy bear of the six-year-old you and the night that you got on the floor

next to your dad and said, Jesus, you are my Lord and Savior. This is going to

sound maybe silly to ask, but how long did you have the teddy bear for? Now you're asking

questions that I don't even know. It couldn't have been that long, given the fact that I was only

about six years old. So I don't know, maybe a year, a couple years before all the stuffing.

I do remember, however, Jade, I do remember, and I think we have a picture of this.

My mom may have it of the teddy bear when we finally threw the teddy bear away.

And it was sitting on the curb.
