They've been struggling.

Guys are going down on injury, and they just lost two games to the Mets.

But there was a little bit of a bright spot at the end of the night.

We're recording this Thursday morning.

So Andrew Benintendi is now a Yankee.

Scott, he was in on both of our GM plans going into the trade deadline.

We've been talking about why Ben and Tendez is perfect for this roster for a month and a half at this point.

So obviously we're excited about this trade.

Very excited about the trade. I love, I feel like Cashman always does us. He like waits for us to play the team or go to a city and, and he doesn't have to pay for Benintendez's flight. Well, I think they do because they, I don't know if the, the Royals were already here. No, they were. Actually, where were the Royals last night? Yeah, they weren't on the flight yet. They, imagine that. It might have a Juan Soto situation where, no, we're not chartering. That Intendi's going to get on the team playing and like, nope, not anymore, buddy. Go stand in line. Look, I love this. This is the exact move that they needed to make for the outfielder. This is the absolute right guy of all of the guys that were available.

The hall that Cashman gave was like the chef's kiss, in my opinion.

I don't think he gave up really anything.

I know we'll talk about the package and this kid Beck-Way is the one that people have their eyes on, but he's in low A right now.

Who gives a shit?

It doesn't matter.

Like, I hope he does well.

I hope he succeeds and has a tremendous career in Kansas City or wherever he gets traded next. But this is a glaring hole that the New York Yankees just filled to perfection, honestly.

The balance in the lineup now is beautiful.
