The anemic, pathetic New York Jets make the Bengals look even more anemic, pathetic,

inexcusable, a deflating loss, whatever you want to call it.

But a game in which we called this a spot where the Bengals had to stay on track,

an opportunity for the defense to get right.

And they kind of did neither of those things.

They definitely didn't do that on the defensive side of the ball.

But James, a game where the Bengals scored 38 points against a New York Jets team that hasn't scored

a meaningful touchdown in about a month was what Mike Greenberg said about the New York Jets

after the Bengals lost this game.

I scored 23 to 7 in the fourth quarter and the Bengals dropped to 3 and 5.

Unacceptable, unbelievable to a degree to be that bad.
