Raiders podcast for crossover Wednesday as the Bengals go out to the black hole for I guess

their last trip to Oakland before the team relocates to Las Vegas. It could be that another team

will move into Oakland after the Raiders are gone. Insert joke here about the Bengals moving.

But for all intents and purposes, this is the last time the Bengals will visit the

black hole for the foreseeable future.

And the Bengals have not fared well there, snapping a very long losing streak.

Not too long ago, you might remember.

So you'll get a little bit of a preview from Joe on that game later on.

But first we're going to talk about a shake-up in the linebacker room.

Players not living up to expectations.

Preston Brown released today results in a 2019 dead cap hit for the Bengals of $4.3 million

and a small savings of $370,000 for the rest of this year.

For 2020, however, there's a $4.2 million cap saving on the Brown release.

So this release from a financial perspective just to start

does free up some money for 2020 against the cap. But you sit here and you wonder, who decided

to re-sign Preston Brown and give him a three-year deal only for him to be cut, not even playing out

the first year of that deal.
