t-public with his da'wa.

And it is a well-known incident reported in all of the books of Syirah.

Was when the Prophet ﷺ's preaching became known to the Quraysh and it started causing

tensions within families, brother was pitted against brother, uncle against her cousin,

so it became an issue of the entire city getting involved.

And one of the senior members of the Quraysh by the name of Ibn Rabi'ah, he was in the

delegation of the Nidwa that was their parliament if you like.

He was one of the senior MPs.

The Quraysh did not have one chief tin after Ibn Abdul Mutalib.

They didn't have one king.

They had all of the chief tins basically in a parliament.

And one of the members was Ibn Rabi'ah.

And he asked the delegation, he asked the congress, the Nidwa.

He asked them, do you authorize me to negotiate on your behalf and to make some conditions

so that we can end all of this tension.

They said anything as long as he stops preaching this message.

So Ibn Rabi'ah went to the Prophet ﷺ, found a time and place that there was nobody

there in front of the Kaaba.

By the way, who is Ibn Rabi'ah?

He is the father in law of Abu Sufyan.
