One of the rights that you your children have over you the children that you don't yet have

It's a duty that you select for them a good mother or a good father

What that means is when you are choosing a spouse you make sure that you bear in mind that this person is going to be the mother or the father of your children

And this would make you select someone

Who is responsible who has a connection with Allah?

That means their being is in order their character and conduct is in order because if you don't do that

What type of children do you expect to have a person who is only interested in

Themselves and they've never served others they've never given others

They've never been mindful of their duties towards others. How do you expect them to look after?

Your own children that you may have with them if you marry them

So it's very important islamically to look at the character the conduct of a person

After you have looked at the Dean and

Normally if someone is

Religious it is expected that their character would be in order

But if you look at the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him when he spoke about marriage he didn't just say look at the Dean

And that's it. He says look at the Dean and the character
