I want to get to some of my notes on the new rotation,

a question about the front office strategy,

and then the fake trade of the day.

But we have to start with this James Wiseman situation.

Wiseman, who missed a pair of coronavirus tests over the All-Star break, was unable to participate

in practice Wednesday. And so Steve Kerr made the decision to discipline him by sitting him

for the first half of the Warriors lost to the Clippers. Now, Wiseman eventually entered the

game in the fourth quarter. He had 14 points and seven rebounds in 12 minutes, but it's unclear if he was even going to get that

time, if it weren't for the fact that the Warriors were losing by more than 30 by the time he checked

in. So for Wiseman, it was a tough start to the second half of what has already been a wobbly

rookie season. Here's what Steve Kerr said about his reasoning to punish Wiseman.

Well, I'm not going to go into detail, but this is all part of development as a young

player.

You've got to take care of your business and everything matters.

And this was just the reaction to him missing the test and not being able

to practice last night. That hurt us. And so that was the reason he did not play in the first half.
