Yeah, well, you know, I, everybody loves when you get asked, what's one word that describes X?

You know, what's the thing that you would describe this some situation?

And the word that kept jumping into my mind last night was inevitable.

And I don't mean because you knew or you figured they were going to lose to the Chiefs

and Patrick Mahomes was going to do Mahomes.

That's true.

But it wasn't that.

It was that going into this week

when the talk was about, you know, simplifying the defense and getting to the basics and, you know,

how are they going to, you know, be more presentable defense and all these things. It just felt to me

like a team that under sort of understood they were short-handed and things

weren't working and they had to dial it back to a degree to try to get on the right track

and they did a lot of good things in the first half right the offense was disciplined

controlled the clock the defense held the chiefs to seven points all these things but it just all felt inevitable that it was going to not be nearly enough, especially once they missed the scoring opportunities in the first half.

This team right now is just too short-handed.

I'm not even blaming the injuries per se, although that's obviously a huge part of it.

But the lack of depth we've talked about overall, the lack of playmakers,

I would probably say on defense, obviously not having Jaden Daniels last night with a huge

component as well.
