We'll mix in some baseball, including something Aaron Boone needs to change immediately. And I give Moon credit, Tick, because he already announced that Jean-Carlo's Stanton is going to play right field again today, which will be back-to-back games for Stanton. It'll be the third game in four days that Stanton is playing right field, and clearly that gives the team the best chance to win.

Yeah, you've got to have his bat in the lineup.

100%. And he's a little good out there. I said that to you guys even before he started playing out there. We shouldn't be afraid of Stanton playing right field. He doesn't get her playing the outfield and I think he's actually a decent defender. Now, can he run around all over the place? Not really. But if he gets to the ball,

he'll be fine. So I give Boone credit for adjusting, because this is a time of the year, mid-August, where there ain't that much time left. You know, Boone likes to say it's all right in front of us. Okay, well, it's not like there's a hundred games left. So there's something else he needs to change. And it needs to continue tonight. And to me,

this is something I never would have thought of in April. I wouldn't have considered this in May.

But Aaron Boone brought it to our world when all of a sudden he said, hey, Ben Rice is going to catch.

Well, Ben Rice should be the everyday catcher. Let's just move on. Let's do it. He is catching tonight. He is? The lineup is out. He's doing it. That means Ben Rice is catching back-to-back games for the first time. That means Ben Rice is catching three times in four games. I don't know if I'm ready to say Boone's doing it fully as the everyday catcher, but he's well on his way and he needs to.

Yeah, Ben Rice is one of those young, developable players who you just haven't over the course of the season seen enough of.

You need to give them the opportunities.

I mean, both the teams in this area are having this issue with the development of the young players,

simply because they're not in positions to get enough time and you worry about the options and everything

else and just just give your best bat the chance to develop into the player that you want

him to become.

Well, and also I think his catching has been decent back there.

Like early on it wasn't.

It was some, it was some shakiness early. Because he hadn't done it in a couple of years after they moved him to first base. And obviously, once he's called up, he wasn't catching very often. But back there, he looks adequate. I'm not going to tell you he's better than Austin Wells, but he looks adequate back there. And here's the crazy part. after the elite catchers, and really this season, there's only been three of them.

Obviously, Cal Raleigh's having a historic year, Will Smith and Hunter Goodman. If you put Ben Rice's stats that he's put up this year, which is a 790 OPS and 17 home runs, if you put those numbers up against any other catcher in baseball, he's a top five catcher in the sport when it comes to offense.

Like, it is not an offensive position, but if you're in a spot where you could have a guy putting up that kind of number while catching and at least doing an adequate job, like, you got to do it.
