This time in a subterranean studio in London's glamorous Soho Square. Literally just feet, or meters, if you rather, from Paul McCartney's office.

Imagine that. It was lovely to see Ben, although I'd seen him very recently at a festival.

That'll become apparent. He was wearing the same clothes. I hope he'd changed.

I hope they'd been through the laundry cycle at least once.

We had a splendid chat.

He was primarily there to talk about his new book.

Once Upon a Legend, he reads a bit of it,

and, as I say, in this interview, he had me gripped from the word go.

He talks about the early days of the career.

He talks about how he's approaching his inevitable death and so many other things.

We're in Soho, in London, in Soho Square. We are subterranean, we're underground. Why are we here? Because today's guest insisted on it. It had to be near him because that's the kind of guy Ben Miller is. He calls the shots. You know Ben as one half of, of course, Armstrong and Miller.

You know him as an author of many a children's book, and we'll be talking about those in a little bit.

And, of course, for his many dramatic slash comedic roles and for directing and for writing.
