Well, I got about four and a half hours of sleep, and that's all you need, I think, now that the bears have traveled back home

and they're looking their wounds and they're getting healthy again. All in all, the kind of game

that cuts both ways. And I think we have enough ability to take in everything that we learn from the game. Not everything has to be boiled down

to good or bad, happy, or sad. You can be a little bit of both after that one outcome and still,

first of all, feel, I think my takeaway is in general about the direction of the bears a positive one and maybe it's

not just talking about this year necessarily but the bears are playing a brand of football that

we really kind of haven't seen before where they have the coach that does the stuff they They're the team that does some of the stuff.

And we're not used to it.

And that's okay.

And we're going to learn.

Like we discussed on forward progress last night, this idea that when you say, well, that was too cute.

You're going to just run the ball down the middle of the field.

He's going to do that. Ben Johnson's going to do things that are too cute and he doesn't care. And in his world, that's just football. Sometimes you get an advantage or sometimes you've got a play that you've had in there for months and you've been waiting for the chance to use it. And if it's that time, everything else be damned. If it's time to run the play, you get it out, you dust it off, you call it and you put it in there. And that kind of thing should be fun. And I'm willing to meet the Bears halfway on that, I guess. I'm saying it now. And I'm sure I'm going to be the same guy who's also saying just run the ball stop being so damn cute

But it's not this isn't like Gary Croton stuff and it's not a little Matt Niggie side-by-side stuff of

Just bubble screens or the sake of bubble screens or refusing to block people the cool thing about Ben Johnson cute is that it also involves blocking.

That it isn't just trying to, ooh, we got you. There is some of that, but it's the fundamentals

of what he does are still based on hat on a hat making these plays. It's just an understanding

of where football is and maybe where it's

going. There is a discomfort as a Bears fan about existing in that world. It's okay. And I think

it's on me. It's on us to get comfortable.
