But that's not what I want to talk about today.

Because I need to figure something out, or at least to be more specific, decide if we

want to figure something out.

Because I'm not sure if we do.

And it has to do with Ben Johnson's obvious decision, conscious decision to lead the Bears community in a new distaste for the Green Bay Packers.

And I don't know if there's anything actually behind it.

I don't know if any of it is real.

And I don't know if any of it matters if it's real or not. But it is very clear that I was

waiting to see this. I was waiting to know after last year, this has been, we've had marking points

here. It was Ben Johnson taking the job at the initial press conference, unprompted, offering that he would enjoy the opportunity of beating Matt Lafleur twice a year. I'm paraphrasing, but it was something like that. They kind of came out of nowhere. We looked at each other. We thought, oh, okay. That's interesting. I wonder what the story is there. Because, of course, the natural. And there is no story. There's no background. Yeah, well, as far as we know, the natural instinct was,

whoa, that was, that was an odd. Spicy turn. Why, why would he say that? What's, what's the history? What don't we know? And we asked and we asked and enough people have examined this, there hasn't

been an answer yet other than he's the head coach of the Packers. Even though Ben Johnson had

just taken the job, I don't think he'd gotten some sort of internal cultural history lesson,

which we know comes from the McCasky family and comes from

ancient actual personal animus.

That was real.
