A long awaited episode at that, as Pip is joined by Rebecca from Ben & Jerry's ice cream and Melanie from the incredible International Rescue Committee! Imagine that... Yes indeed, all those references to those forward thinking ice cream pioneers Ben & Jerry on all those DrunkCasts, the Instagram posts, the tweets... Well it looks like they have opened a big, frosty freezer door for our frozen treat-loving host, as he got to join the gang for a wonderful chat - and most definitely NOT limited to ice-cream either...Fighting through the perils of a corrupted file situation in a previous visit, Pip managed to arrange a meet with Rebecca and Melanie for a second recording deep in the Slough B&J barn. Of course Pip got to taste test some of the goods within, but the chat side of the meetup is where the magic happens - listen to the history of the company itself, setup by two brilliant hippies in Burlington (who are sure to be subjects in a movie at some point), to how it's all made and the ethics of the ingredients (the brownie story is wonderful), to the awesome campaigns that the company stand behind which echo the political leanings of Ben and Jerry themselves. This is not a sponsored episode at all, and it's fascinating to hear how a big company can have a genuinely ethical and very well meaning, evolved and inclusive side to them. 0:06.5	Boy is it an exciting one for me, but also boy has it been a stressful one and have I got a
0:12.6	story for you. It's with Ben and Jerry's, which is very anyone who listens to the podcast regular
0:19.1	and armed obsessed with Ben and Jerry's or follows me on social media. I'm a big fan and after
0:25.2	dimensioned them a lot a little while ago, they invited me to just come to the barn and have ice cream
0:31.9	with them. So I was like, yeah, I'll do that. So I went and did that and when I was there, I learned a
0:37.9	lot about them as a company and thought they'd make a really good podcast and two things that I'd
0:43.9	got to do on this podcast is try a new flavor and launch a brilliant new campaign, a refugee campaign,
0:51.5	but we'll get to that before that. So we recalled I went to the barn, not last Friday, the
1:01.6	Friday before and I'd had a hectic week and I was driving to the barn in slown to record the
1:08.3	podcast. Then I was driving to a hotel in Birmingham to sleep there and I'd be halfway or a bit of
1:15.9	up to Edinburgh because I was going to the Edinburgh fringe to see the sage Francis, B Dole and
1:22.0	Rob Alton, the speech development family. So recalled the podcast, it's great. We try this new ice
1:29.4	cream. It's amazing. More about that in a bit. And then I drive to Birmingham, I get to my hotel and
1:35.7	I'm like, look, I'm a goddamn professional. I got stuck in loads of traffic, but it was fine.
1:40.6	The good podcast under my belt, I had some good podcasts to listen to. So on the way now I was
1:49.0	listening to Paulie Shore on Joe Rogan experience, crazy episode. It's odd and weird and Paulie
1:54.6	Shore's an odd gentleman, but it's really interesting. So I get to my hotel and I'm like, right,
1:59.8	I'm a professional. I'm going to, I've got a little, if you've read the book, which gives all the
2:05.9	tech, tech breakdown or what I use, I've got this little mixing desk as long as I'm going to take
2:09.8	that into the hotel, word me, convert the files and send them off to buddy piece nice and early.
2:16.7	And I get in my hotel, I check in, I plug it all in, I convert it and it converts really quickly.
