You're up there in Boston coming off of a win last night for my Atlanta Braves your Atlanta Braves our Atlanta Braves whatever we want to say here first and foremost uh what what's what's your life like right now this is the busy time you're on the road constantly living in and out of a suitcase. What's it like for you right now, bro?

1:13.3

I mean, it's busy, but it's good when they're winning, man.

1:27.1

Makes our job a lot more fun when they're winning. And, you know, winning is good, whether you expect it or not. I don't know that we thought it would be quite like this. But this has been really amazing to see what's taking place this season and how it's all come together and best record in baseball and all that.

1:27.8

It's been amazing.

1:27.7

Hearing your voice on the calls has been, for me, the best. this season and how it's all come together and best record in baseball and all that. It's been amazing.

1:32.6

Hearing your voice on the calls has been for me the best part of the thing, dude.

1:37.0

You've gotten to call some crazy good games so far, including last night, the Braves beating the Red Sox in Finway, like a dynamic game, 7 to 6.

1:42.9

Rossell Iglesias gives up his first two earned runs of the year. But man, they come through again. What do you like about this team? And is it surprised? Is anything surprised you specifically about this team and how hot they've been to start things out? I mean, before June, they got the best record in baseball. Yeah, I think the most surprising thing has been the starting pitching. I thought when we left spring training, I told the guys that worked with us and we're going to hit. I mean, we're going to score runs. I think we're going to do a lot better job offensively than we did last year, hit a lot of homers, but I think we're going to be better in just contact situations. I think they're going to make more contact and be able to win games in multiple ways offensively. And I knew the bullpen will be really good. I thought they had a stacked bullpen and were very deep. But my concern was the starting pitching. I thought they were pretty thin. And you can still make the case that they are. I mean, you have one injury and that could bring the whole thing down and really force you to make some tough decisions. But the pitching not only has been solid,

2:36.1

it's been amongst the best in baseball. Those guys have been terrific. I think Bryce Elder's been

2:40.9

probably the top of that list for guys that have turned things around. I just love the changes

2:45.9

he's made with his slider and his change up, and he's got more weapons now than he ever had.

3:07.7

Obviously, Chris Sayle is Chris Sale. He's been tremendous. Getting Spencer Strider back, I didn't know what you'd get out of Spencer. I knew he wasn't going to be the guy throwing 100 miles an hour with a devastating slider again, but could he find other ways to be a pitcher rather than just being a power thrower? And he's done that with his curveball and his change up. And I just think what they've done on the mound for the starters, for the rotation has been infinitely better than any of us could have expected. You just hope that that continues with good health. Ben Ingram, radio voice of the Atlanta Braves. And Ben, I think you'll appreciate this. I get asked a lot. You know, Brad, I know you follow the Braves. Where do you watch it?

3:26.5

And it's kind of weird.

3:27.5

I don't. And Ben, I think you'll appreciate this. I get asked a lot, you know, Brad, I know you follow the Braves.

3:58.5

Where do you watch it? And it's kind of weird. I don't. I watch highlights. And what I do is I have 680, the fan, the app. I listen to every pitch. And then I've actually exchanged messages with you how much I enjoy your calls, one of the best in the business. I think a lot of people are wondering, you know, number one, why is the radio voice of the Atlanta Braves joining us here on the show? A lot of people may not know, Ben, you are a Mississippi native. And I would love to kind of get your backstory. And so the audience out there kind of knows that anything is possible for an aspiring radio guy out of Mississippi to be the voice of atlanta braves being just kind of walk us through your path to start them if you will and kind

4:03.1

of how you're sitting in boston and you're headed out to call a baseball game you know very
