to be here by the way full transparency this is our second attempt we got interrupted by a

european espresso machine thankfully at the very beginning of the conversation. So we were

asking that again. I think there's a lot of backstory to get into here because if we talk about

UTMB, the expiration date is week from now. Let's talk about your 20s because before you were a pro

athlete, you had this extended like decade long decade-long, self-education.

A nomad.

You were a, yeah.

What was it like being a nomad?

I mean, it's hard.

It's a hard life, but it was my choosing.

I wasn't really content anywhere to stay long in any certain spots.

I wanted to moving around a lot.

But it was sort of, it was me

following some inner voice, which for better or worse leads me here. But the whole time,

it was sort of an obsession with cool places. I mean, it wasn't like, it wasn't a down and out

story. It was mostly a story of me interested in getting to know awesome places in nature.
