You've never touched a Black woman's hair. You've probably never done it again.

You learned that lesson once. You know, I did it in high school. My friend Shannon McKenny

had the most beautiful braids, Black girl, obviously, and I was sitting behind her in

the house. It's so vivid to me in algebra class. We were friends. I felt enough. I was 10th

grade, so I was 15, 16 years old, and I just grabbed on part of her braids. I don't

think I had really felt Black hair, really. She turned around and said, what do you think

you're doing? I said, she's like, don't touch a Black girl's hair. I'm like, but why?

She's like, don't touch a Black girl's hair. I said, but she's like, I'm telling you,

I will punch you in the face if you touch my hair again. I went, she wrote it. Okay.

I didn't do it again. Mine was in, I was a freshman in college. Did you ever know Tiktokishik

is art at North Texas? Yes, I did. She always had very, her hair was always like, coiffed.

It was done to the ninth. That's what you used to do. That's the word. Thank you. I do this

with my friends, and I'll do this. We were friendly, but we weren't really good friends.
