Welcome to the Bronx Pinstripe Show. Yankees been busy, Scott. Last we talked, Soto, signed with the Mets. And we kind of just said, you know what? Let's take a breather. Let's see what happens the rest of the week at the GM meetings. And then come back after some moves have been made. And we were going to record yesterday morning.

So we're recording Wednesday, December 18th.

We're going to record Tuesday.

Then some work stuff got in the way.

And it turns out it's a good thing for once.

We actually caught a break on the news break.

Because we would have been talking about,

are the Yankees going to trade for Bellinger?

What's going to happen here?

And then six hours later, that became official.

So I guess finally something broke our way on that. What's up? Yeah, man, you know, I put in the, right after we decided that we're going to do it today, I'm like, Yankees just need to sign Bellinger today. And they, uh, they cooperated. So that was, that was good. They were in a position and I was going to, I was going to, yesterday I was going to be

talking about the fact that they hadn't signed him yet. And all the reports were that it was,

it was very close and that they were, you know, a few million dollars off. And actually,

that seemed to be the actual case. And when, you know, some additional pressure of the blue jays or

whatever the reports were that, that kind of, you know, had another team come into the fold to put the pressure on, whether it was real or not, Yankees then just said, okay, cool, like, we'll figure it out. You know, if they were pushing for $10 million and they got $5 million, whatever it was, you just can can't let that you can't let him get away at

that point so i'm glad that they did it and we didn't have to have that conversation because

uh the common sense department swoops in right there and says what are you doing this is one of the
