The Democratic field is getting crowded,

crowded with past guests of the Gist.

You heard Mayor Peter Buttigieg on Monday.

And this guy once stopped by once upon a time.

Former governor John Hickenlooper could announce his decision

on a presidential run next week.

I welcome the Hickenlooper candidacy,

but like any candidate, this guy needs a balanced ticket.

Now, I'm thinking he could go with a Democrat Republican fusion ticket.

We pair Hickenlooper with the current head of the Department of Agriculture,

a famous name in poultry, Mr. Sonny Perdue,

and that would be the Hickenlooper Chicken Cooper ticket,

or another much more prominent Republican and much more conservative

Republican running mate, a guy who worked for a Republican administration.

When that lasted almost two terms,

Papu Cannon, that would be Hickenlooper Nixon Trooper,

or even a dead Republican, Hickenlooper Herbert Hoover.
