0:12.8	Turn with me to Romans chapter 10. Did you ever think we get to the 10th chapter of the book of
0:17.5	Romans? Bless, Lord. Bless, Lord. Romans chapter 10, full of joy over his word. I just love it.
0:28.7	Here's what I want to do. I want to read all the way through the chapter because it has such a
0:33.4	central message and theme and then we're going to start taking it apart and taking it by segments.
0:38.0	But I'd like to go ahead and read it through to keep our context nice and solid. If you've not been
0:44.0	with us in past weeks, you don't know that we began our study of Romans 9 through 11 by reading all
0:50.4	of Romans 9 through 11 and it would still be my tendency to want you to do that before the lesson
0:55.8	starts today. But with that in mind, we just encourage you to see it as a whole. This is a very
1:03.6	important segment in the study of the book of Romans. So here we are, we're going to now cut out a
1:09.6	piece of meat right in the center of it. So if you've been no part of our study, please read
1:14.0	all three of those chapters with what we have to discuss today in mind. 10, 1, brothers, my
1:21.6	hearts desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. For I can testify
1:28.9	about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. Since they did
1:34.8	not know the righteousness, it comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not
1:39.6	submit to God's righteousness. God is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for
1:45.9	everyone who believes, verse 5, Moses describes in this way the righteousness that is by the law,
1:52.6	the man who does these things will live by them. Now he's quoting that out of Old Testament law.
1:57.1	But the righteousness that is by faith says, now this is Paul saying now of new covenant righteousness,
2:06.2	do not say in your heart who will ascend into heaven that is to bring Christ down. We'll understand
2:10.6	that a little better in a moment. Or who will descend into the deep that is to bring Christ up
2:15.3	from the dead. But what does it say? The word is near you. It is in your mouth and it's in your heart.
