| 1:30.8 | Getting these guys to believe in you, right? And so how did that really feel? Like going from last year to this year, being like, you know what I mean, I really feel that they are grasping what I'm putting down, putting out there. One, the ultimate gift for a coach is when the players trust you. And so I never want to take that for granted. I'm grateful for the guys. You guys know, like if you, you know, the players have to make a decision that they're going to trust their coach, that they're going to buy in, that they're going to build relationships. So I'm grateful for that. I felt like coming into the job, we had been through some stuff together. So heading into last season, I was just kind of relying on some of the experiences that we had been through. We had been in the bubble for a long time together. We had lost that. We had lost in a first round, and we had lost in the finals. And so we had, we've experienced pretty much what you could experience in an NBA in a short period of time. So you use those relationships as kind of the foundation. And I don't, it's not that the guys didn't trust me last year. I think we just didn't have a shared mental model. We didn't have a, if you walked into our building and say, hey, this is how we do things. We didn't have that because we didn't have time to build it. And so just over the summer, spending time with the guys and building that shared approach of like, hey, when you walk in the facility every day, going to go about our business how are we going to do things how are we going to execute are we going to file up six are we going to have shoot around sometime are we going |
