What's going on everybody? Welcome back to the real bodybuilding podcast. I am here with Mr Derek Lunsford and this is episode number 77. How are you sir?

I'm doing well. How are you? We're two weeks out. I know man you got the Olympia around the corner so I want to get you on and see how things are going and ask you a ton of questions because I've seen your career kind of come like full circle and you're like on your way now and people have you know people are talking about you for the winter circle so I kind of wanted to get your thoughts on the show coming up and how you feel about it.

Yeah, this year is a lot different man.

Just as far as like my mentality everything, coming off last year,, we didn't get what we wanted.

We ended up coming in in that second place spot again, as we did the year before.

We were obviously hoping to take that title last year.

So coming off the Olympia last year,

I took a step back.

It's been a really rough year for a lot of people.

And I'm not just talking about last year's Olympia. A lot of people have went for a lot of people and I'm not just talking about

Lashers Olympia a lot of people have went to a lot of things with the with the

COVID-19 the pandemic and things like that so this has definitely been the most

challenging year of my life without question.

And I don't want to dive too deep into it.

I just wanted to make it aware.

I'm not someone that likes to talk about my personal hardships and things like that.

I'm more of a type of person that likes to spread positivity

and uplift people and show people

the positive side of my life.

And so I just wanted to make it aware that,

hey, it's been a tough year, but through those challenges is my opportunity, it's our opportunity to become stronger and better because of it.
