Some thoughts to share with you as we launched here and then we'll go right to your calls. By the way, as an aside, I know and many of you

know from firsthand experience that in the southeast, there's a whole lot of people that are facing a world of hurt there.

We had this big bad hurricane that came through that area and now they're still raining

and flooding and lots of people

still without power. We had reality up there in Augusta, Georgia. We know a lot of folks there

are still, you know, without power or homes or whatever.

And so we got a lot of friends up there, too.

And I just want to encourage our community to be praying for our brothers and sisters and the others as well that are facing all kinds of

hardship.

By the way, so there's my request, but it did stimulate another thought.

And that is, in the scripture scripture there's an appeal. I can't remember exactly where this is but there's an appeal like I just made to help others

But then there's a phrase added and it says especially those who are of the household of faith.

In other words, especially brothers and sisters in Christ.

So we are obviously to have compassion and

give care and help to others in virtue of them being humans, but there is a special relationship that we have with those who are in the family,

as it were, and you could think of it as a human family, you know, you're going to give more care to your siblings

than you are to strangers even though both are in the same straits if you could

only give care to one you're going to give it to siblings you're going to especially care for that well

that's what scripture says regarding circumstances like this especially to those

who are of the faith especially those brothers and sisters in Christ.

So my prayer is for the body of Christ in those regions that are suffering.
