So on Saturday afternoon, a report came out from Diana Rusini that Bill Belichick reached out to the New York Jets.

And I hear this story, and I'm driving around.

Do you believe it?

And I'm skeptical.

That's correct.

Yeah, you're right.

Do I believe it?

I'm very, very skeptical.

And so I hear Chris McMonagull on WFA, and the Jets are a bunch of idiots. Can you believe it?

Then I hear my boy Tommy Lugow were saying the Jets are smart. They don't need this guy. So I had

the two extreme opinions. And I thought both of them did a great job, by the way. So good job,

Lugie, good job, Big Mac. Then I went to wrestling, had a good night, tried to put it out of my mind.

And then late Saturday night, I started to read more.

And so for those that missed it, here's the reporting on Bill.

And then I'll tell you what the hell actually happened.

For months, this is according to Diana, Belichick's inner circle quietly conducted informal conversations with a few teams testing the waters.

A very small circle of people in the Jets building were made aware of his interest, though I was told

no meeting or formal conversation ever happened because the UNC opportunity popped up.

So in the end, none of the talks with the Jets or any other NFL team turned into anything

serious.

Albert Breer added to the report saying on Sunday that Bill Belichick reached out to Mike

Tanenbaum to express interest in the Jets' job.
