You can tell I didn't write the show notes this week.

Okay, it wasn't a spectacular race.

If anything, the regulations made it too easy to pass and then also too hard to pass.

It was an odd concoction of things that led to a pretty stifled event.

And some people are saying, oh, it was over by lap 14.

But as I've said, lots in the past.

Any true sport will have the odd, less exciting event at one end of the bell curve.

We could have had many competition portions to spice things up, not naming any NAS cars.

We could have gone full playground rules and said next goal wins, like in Abu Dhabi.

But F1 should, and I believe, is striving to be a proper and entertaining sport.

And sometimes it just goes like that.

An event won't quite bang.

Yet there's a lot of really interesting things to talk about.

And in fact, those less action pack races often give us more freedom to chat about topics and stuff.

I'll also address the elephant in the room that it was a tough day for the ham foci.
