I haven't been sleeping very well. Hardly at at all actually.

Maybe it's jet lag, or maybe I'm just generally

unsure about what's happening around me.

I've yet to see or hear a bomb go off, but then I turn on the news and it's just one

scene of destruction after another.

2,000 Lebanese people have been killed, over 11,000 wounded, almost all of them civilians, all by bombs

made in the United States.

I'm pretty sure the bombing and killing is only going to lead to more bombing and

killing that there's no end or cease fire in sight. I have four interviews I'm going to play now, all with people I met on the streets of Beirut.

They have different backgrounds and different opinions about what's happening and why.

The first is with a mother and her son near the port of Beirut.
