So Tommy Casabona, host of the Always Be Booked podcast, just returned from a four-night cruise on

0:14.3

Norwegian sky, the very last cruise to Cuba, actually, and he joins us on the line. Hey, Tommy.

0:18.8

Hey, what's up, Doug? How you doing? Good, man. Can't wait to

0:21.1

talk about the ship and the whole Cuba angle here. But before we get to that, as we always do, we're going to take a step back. Give me some pre-cruised thoughts. What made you want to take this four-night cruise to Cuba? Well, you know, the stars aligned and the lack of current employment, as well as the right pricing on the sailing.

0:19.9

And you know that

0:39.7

Norwegian sky will always get you with the all inclusive angle too, you know what I mean? By the way,

0:44.1

how does that work? So they are, say you get the rate like a 169 rate or whatever, 289 rate,

0:50.3

do you have to pay extra like you do for a drink package when you get that the all-inclusive perk or I guess it's an all-you-can-drink ship, right? Well, yeah, but they still do the whole sale-away thing, but the sale-away will just apply to your, you know, the dining. So I mean the sale-away category, which on most Norwegian ships says, okay, you know what, that's sail away. You don't get anything. Now you got to angle up to get the inside, but, you know, then you get the drink package. That's when it activates. On this particular ship, you get on that ship. You're drinking for free. And I was the same way. I was like, you know, there's got to be a catch. This is the second time I've done it.

1:24.5

But I was like, there must be some sort of a catch. They must be like, okay, just well or very select items or maybe there is that whole gratuity or service charge. They add on. Absolutely not. This is for real. The Norwegian sky, if you get on that ship, you're drinking for free the minute you walk on. Will they serve you a Tito's?

1:25.7

Yeah, that's the thing, too.

1:26.7

So you get the Titos.

1:44.7

You don't get the great goo. The Norwegian sky. If you get on that ship, you drink it for free the minute you walk on. Will they serve you a Tito's?

1:46.0

Yeah, that's the thing too.

1:47.0

So you get the Titos. You don't get the Great Goose, the Crown Royal, the Patrono, and that type of stuff. But you do have that, no, they're not going to put you right to the well where you know what that is. That's a four-day hangover. So you make your way down to the cruise pier on Europe and Boca and you go down to Miami to board the ship.

1:45.9

How was your embarkation process? day hangover. So you make your way down to the cruise pier on Europe and Boca and you go down to

2:01.8

Miami to board the ship. How was your embarkation process? Well, the embarkation process on that

2:06.8

particular ship is always pretty, yeah, it's a little slow. Let's just say that. Now, I'll just say

2:12.3

back it up just a little bit if you don't mind. I'm going to give a strong recommend to anybody

2:16.8

at Fort Lauderdale or West Palm.

2:18.8

The bright line is a freaking incredible option. It's like, you know, they give you options,

2:23.9

$20, $25 or $30. I think $20 is whatever, the railroad sale away version. The $25, you're getting,
