I grew up in my high school. years in rural Pennsylvania. Much of what my family did at the time is what is considered classic prepper behaviour today. We had a garden, we canned and stored a ton of food in the basement, we hunted and fished as much for sport as for food. We made jerky and sausage from venison, stews from all of the odd cuts of both hunted and store bought meats.
