0:19.0	There's a part of Mark's Gospel that might not sit well with us if we don't understand what it means. It doesn't belong with the way we view Jesus.
0:22.5	We read it, we try to think it through, or think it away,
0:25.4	but we don't really get it until we look at the bigger story.
0:28.2	When we read chapter 3, there are things
0:30.5	that Mark tells us that have been going on.
0:33.0	Jesus had a long day in Campernum, Sabbath day that started with healing a man's hand,
0:37.4	and then facing ridicule from the Pharisees for healing the man's hand.
0:41.3	He has all kinds of people following him, wanting to be healed. He has people
0:45.1	who are accusing him of being with Bezel Bub. Maybe Jesus was just tired and tired of people.
0:51.7	Well that would only be the case if we inserted ourselves into this story and made ourselves
0:55.9	the Messiah because that's how we would respond. But Jesus is without sin, without grumbling,
1:01.0	without lack of love.
1:03.2	So what does it mean and what is Jesus saying
1:05.3	when we get to this scene at the end of the chapter?
1:08.1	Mark 331.
1:10.0	Jesus' mother and brothers came to see him.
1:12.4	They stood outside and sent word for him to come and talk with them.
1:16.0	There was a crowd sitting around Jesus and someone said,
1:18.4	Your mother and your brothers are outside asking for you.
