There she is. This is and this is just how we're starting today's study. Here's what I want to want to do.

First let me just welcome you guys. This is this is I'm

Mike Winger. This is the Mark series. We're going to the Gospel of Mark

verse by verse and we just happen to be in a passage where Jesus deals with some things that heavily overlap.

They intersect with the issues that we're dealing with in our politics right now.

And I need to say this.

This isn't going to be maybe what some people are expecting,

and I'm not intending to miss Lee with title and thumbnail or anything like that.

It's going to be about our politics. It's going to be about how what Jesus teaches impacts our politics, but it's not going to be

what some people expect because they want you know they would they're thinking I'm

and I'll pick a side and then I'm going to defend the side versus no my whole thing about

politics that I want to do better and better learn to do better and maybe as I

learn this I could help others learn it to is to start with scripture and then to become biblical in my politics in my view of all

things and then to let that overlap into how I see what's going on in the

culture and with voting and all that kind of stuff today.

And so we're starting with scripture here.

So this may not be what you're exactly expecting.

This is Mark chapter 12 versus 13 through 17 and there's way more details here.

There's like way more info in the stuff that Jesus says about taxes and about Caesar.

There's a lot more info in there than we often realize.
