What I see is so horrifying to me as happen in the United States is, you know,

is that there are elements in the organized American Jewish community that are making

common cause in Donald Trump's effort to destroy universities and really destroy liberal

democracy, APAC supporting all of these pro-Trump congressional candidates.

The ADL didn't exactly scream with horror when Trump went out of these universities, you know,

because they've been demanding a crackdown.

And so what you're really saying is we are so dedicated to quashing the pro-Palestinian political activism

that we're willing to basically be complicit

in destroying liberal democracy in the process.

And you think that's going to work out well for Jews, right?

I don't think it's going to work out well for us,

in part because I think these bigotries travel together.

Today, the day I'm speaking to you, there's news that the Trump administration wants to get a federal

consent decree, which is usually the kinds of things that say the administration wants to get a federal consent decree,

which is usually the kinds of things that say the Justice Department would get with a police department

that had been engaged in a pattern and practice of discrimination and abuse,

to oversee them, to make sure they comply and stop essentially violating the civil rights of their citizens.

The Trump administration wants a consent decree with Columbia University, okay, treating Columbia

University the way that you would treat a rogue police department with a federal structure

of oversight where everything Columbia does has to go by this consent decree.

And the ostensible reason they want to do that is because of the pervasive anti-Semitism on
