Welcome to the Breakpoint Podcast. I'm John Stone Street. As we celebrate the incarnation at this time of year, I wanted to replay for everyone an interview that my colleague Shane Morris had with Jonathan Roomy.

He plays Jesus in a series called The Chosen. It's a series that became the largest crowdfunded project of all time and has received simply

rave reviews, including from me. I watched The Chosen with my family and had wonderful

conversations about what these gospel narratives, which we know were true. We know they actually

happened in human history what it might have looked like

if we were up close and personal.

Currently, the production team of The Chosen

is working on season two,

and a lot of us are really anticipating that.

But the conversation that Shane had with Jonathan Rumi

was fun.

It was funny, and it was also quite informative about what it would take to try to portray

the life and ministry of the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us. So here's a very special

re-air of a terrific interview with my colleague Shane Morris and Jonathan Rumi, the actor who

plays Jesus in the miniseries, The Chosen.

messed up or fallen short. But then there are the jobs where the expectations are just sky

high, where the standards are, if anything, humanly impossible to meet. My guest today had the guts to accept exactly such a job.
