I'm blessed to be just outside of Baltimore for the rosary today.

Very near a wonderful grotto at Mount St. Mary's in Emmonsburg, Maryland, where five potential saints have come from.

So I was talking with a good friend the other day

that we need a good pilgrimage site in America.

I mean, if you go over around Europe,

there's all kinds of pilgrimage sites. We need a good pilgrimage site in America. I mean, if you go over around Europe, there's all kinds of pilgrimage sites. We need a good

pilgrimage site in America, and we need one connected to saints. I can't think of anywhere else in

America where five saints are connected to than this grotto and Emmonsburg, Maryland. So maybe that ought to be a pilgrimage site.

So it's wonderful to be gathered here with a big group

from the spiritual mentoring program

where we train people to be spiritual mentors,

spiritual coaches, spiritual directors. So if you are praying this podcast and if you

have a desire to go deeper in the interior life and you feel called to help other people

grow in their friendship with Jesus through prayer, you ought to consider being a spiritual

mentor like these guys here. So let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the

Holy Spirit. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for. Now we've been meditating

in the rosary on the universal call to holiness.

But one of the most common excuses people give for not being saints

is by acting as though sanctity is just for certain walks of life.

You hear it all the time.
