discouraged, it was the living word that pointed them to the written word. Jesus came

alongside of them. He's the living word. They don't recognize him yet, but he pointed

them to the written word. And it's the written word that pointed them to the living word. And that's

the way the word works in our lives. Look at verse 28. They came near the village where they were going, and he gave the impression that he was going farther.
