We wanted to share a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into making one of our Kernan culture's episodes.

To be honest, there's no one way of doing it. Depending on the story, an episode can take months of production, hours of interviews, hours of editing.

And the stories unfold to us in a different way each time.

But we have figured out a few key ingredients to great radio storytelling over our coming on six years of doing this.

And today we're going to talk about the journey our producers went on

while making two stories from last season.

Okay, so tell me how this all started, Zana. I first heard about the Tsar last summer.
